Garthim

Lord and Lady Garthim. Based off of the Garthim Soldiers, from The Dark Crystal.

I made these for the First year of the Dark Crystal Ball, held at the Puppetry Center in Atlanta GA. It was my first time ever attempting a weird prop and adding a light element. I used fairy lights glued up inside the masks to make our eyes seem lighted. The hand was made out of a rubber garden hose, paper towels, thread, hot glue, Styrofoam balls and fur. I really enjoyed these ones, as they were one of my first very ambitious for me at the time, cosplays.

We danced the night away, toured the center and we even got to meet and chat with Brian Henson!! It was a dream come true for me.
