Panels I can Lead-

​

               Cosplay 101- What is cosplay? Basic ideas to start your first cosplay, (store bought, thrifted, made) where to go from there.     

          

                Foam smithing 101- Basic materials used, Description and examples of techniques used for different textures and shaping, safety advice and painting techniques.                     

                Cosplaying with Social Anxiety and other special needs- Tips on navigating a busy con, suggestions on quiet places to destress. Advise on tailoring cosplays to work with some medical equipment (Gtubes, inhalers, canes, service dogs)

               So your kid wants to cosplay-  Basic intro into the culture of cosplay. How can parents support this hobby and ways they can be involved.

               Your ready to compete…. Now what?- Information about different types of cosplay contests and how they work. (craftsmanship, presentation, runway) What is a build book and how do I make one? Tips from a cosplay judge.

​

I am a  multi Media Artist and can sit in on panels about Embroidery, Sewing, Jewelry Making, Drafting, Armor making, Scale mail, Steampunk, High Fantasy, and Cosplaying with Disabilities.

I am also in many Fandoms, I would be comfortable sitting in on any of the fandom panels below, just not leading it. Star Wars, Tolkien (LOTR, Hobbit, Rings of Power), Disney, Stargate, Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, Harry Potter, World of Warcraft, and Zelda.

 

Demos-

               Intro to FX makeup- wounds-45mins-1hr- Watch a live demonstration on making wounds commonly used in cosplay. Such as knife cuts, bites, flapping skin, and bullet wounds. Learn about bruise color theory. One volunteer needed, with no allergies to products.

Workshops-   

                                                                       

               FX Makeup- Wounds- 2hrs-       Get hands on knowledge and practice making wounds commonly used in cosplay. Such as knife cuts, bites, flapping skin, and bullet wounds. Learn how to make maggots and boils out of latex and bubble wrap. And learn about bruise color theory. Wear your creations all day or wash off.

               *latex, Vaseline, flour, fake blood used.. not recommended for those with these allergies or for those who are squeamish around blood*

               Foam smithing 101- Make & Take- Foam Bracer- 2hrs- Create a foam bracer using basic foam smithing techniques. (designing, heat shaping, adding details, sealing, painting) Learn how to make different textures, and how to heat shape your foam safely. As well as learning a few painting techniques. Take your bracer home with you.
