Inspired by a mermaid commission, I decided to create this cosplay of Tamatoa, the giant crab from Moana that loves glittery things. The shell alone took over 60 hours with almost 500 gold coins plus all the glittery bits glued on by hand.
HeiHei's design is based on Pacific Islander cultural styles. The finished collar alone took over 10 hours to hand sew.
